Our story began in 1984, when Mr. Pat van der Spuy established Cispak through a pioneering partnership with Taiwanese manufacturers in East London, South Africa. What started as a small operation supplying flexible packaging to agricultural co-ops like GWK, VKB, and OVK soon evolved into a business defined by integrity, service, and vision.
Pat was a man of exceptional character and relentless dedication – known for his passion, personal touch, and remarkable memory for every client’s number by heart. He built Cispak on values that remain at the core of who we are today: relationships, trust, mutual respect, and loyalty.
Now, 40 years later, we are proud to continue his legacy – expanding our reach from South Africa to the United States and beyond, and partnering with suppliers and clients around the world. 2000
After 16 years of specializing in woven bags for agricultural products, we formed a new joint venture partnership to broaden our product range for this market segment.
2009
We introduced printed BOPP and PET bags, catering to the maize meal and pet food markets.
2017
Based on the growing demand for top quality small flexible packaging in various existing and new market segments, we established our first international joint venture.
2018
We started supplying customers in our neighbouring countries and international markets.
2023
We further expanded our portfolio to include top quality recyclable and sustainable flexible packaging.
